… in a big Jeep on Lusty Beg island (great name, isn’t it?) on Lower Lough Erne in Fermanagh. It’s a real island (or more) and is used for outdoor pursuits, corporate events and weddings. It’s fun.

We got to drive round muddy and water-covered tracks in a wood, round and round in circles (through the splashy bits - I liked the splashy bits).  OK, I was pretty nervous when I first took the wheel, not helped by feeling a bit motion-sick after being jounced around in the back while Marion and then Lorraine drove. And I admit it took me about three minutes to get the nerve to actually fully take my foot off the clutch like I needed to (the jeep was pointing down a bit of an incline and I was convinced it was going to shoot off and hit a tree when I did stop depressing the clutch). But once I got going, it was Fun.

Also today, I am mostly … getting excited about the Doctor Who finale

… because it has Daleks! Rose! Martha! Captain Jack! Gwen and Ianto! the Doctor possibly regenerating!  The only thing it lacks so far is K9 but I’m still crossing my fingers.

I love Doctor Who in all its incarnations, old and new, tacky and clever, silly and intelligent, fluffy and dark… and I’m not afraid to admit it.
