Today, I am mostly … addicted to Risk

… or at least, to playing it against the computer. I’ve only ever played the board game version a few times (the Star Wars version at that) and it definitely goes a lot more quickly on the computer, plus the game options make it easier to see what’s going on.

I’ve won a fair few times, but the beauty is that I can just keep upping the difficulty for myself.

I’m sure I’ll get bored in a few days though. Hopefully.

Also today, I am mostly … enjoying the Amazon-bought bounty

… that was delivered today. We received a box of belated Christmas presents - to ourselves, and paid for by a voucher from my family - so I have a whole stack of books to work my way through in the next few days. Bliss!

And I’ll be reviewing at least one over on Sharp Words - Ken Armstrong and I are going to tackle another collaborative review like the one we did for The Book Thief. This time, it will be Neil Gaiman’s latest, The Graveyard Book, which we both had for Christmas.

… and not really with it. Which isn’t the best way to be on a bright sunny busy Monday morning.

Life’s pretty quiet though - which is both good and boring. I’ve been playing a lot of Baldur’s Gate 2 in my free time, and have got further than ever before in the game. Die, vampires*, die!

Really though, I’m just apathetic in my personal life. Although work is fine, I just can’t be arsed to do much otherwise. Cleaning the bathroom and roasting a chicken was as good as it got yesterday. I’d rather lie in the bath and read than do just about anything.

Pathetic.
