cocktails… because it was one of the musicals we saw in London last weekend, on Saturday afternoon. Friday evening, we saw Marguerite, a new musical (by the same writers as Les Misérables) which was OK. Costumes and set and general acting was good; music less so. Plus it was set in France and involved death and tragedy, and after watching it we said we weren’t going to go and see Les Mis… but then when it came down to getting tickets on Saturday morning, we decided to anyway.
And I’m really glad we did, because it was amazing. A three-hanky show, too.

Other things I did over the weekend include visiting the British Museum for about an hour, tramping across Regent’s Park in the sunshine and then visiting London Zoo (both on Friday), shoe-shopping on Oxford Street, eating Mexican food and drinking frozen margaritas in Leicester Square, drinking G&Ts in Soho (Saturday), and going to a boat-trip down the Thames to Greenwich (Sunday). Oh, and staying in a really really nice hotel just down from the Palace of Westminster and next to Tate Britain (which I didn’t visit, but have been to before).

But my feet still hurt from all the walking, and I loathe and detest both Ryanair and Stansted airport.

Also today, I am mostly … amused by the phishing email I received

… which read:
