… yep, Battlestar Galactica is back on UK screens for its third season, and I’m in happy political scifi heaven. We’re only about 8 episodes behind the US, too - although that doesn’t stop me avidly reading the episode guides on the website (http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/). Reading ahead is bad, but I don’t care. There are lots of little bits that aren’t contained in the guides, which go to make the show extremely special.
How good is it? Well… it’s well-written, intelligent, has some extraordinarily good characters and plots; the cinematography is outstanding (every scene of every episode is shot to film-quality)… and right at the moment, it’s playing very close to the bone with its story of insurgents fighting an invasive force. Ahem.
… which is tedious in the extreme, but has to be done. At least I’m at home and still in my pyjamas…
